One of the unexplained wonders of the universe - how could that sweet tiny little
girl eventually become owner of these BOOMIN' BEEF CHEEKS? If you look carefully,
you can see on that right pocket that The Behind has tried to chew its
way out of those jeans. NOW! PAGE THREE! |

PLAYERS |
Cause' Somebody Gots' To Be FOWNKY! |
WOO! Rarely have we had a night with TWO brand new Players that distinguished
themselves to the extent these folks did. On your left there is Janet
Ogg, and over here on your right is John Dubuc. These folks were way good
my peeps, way good. Janet has a truly special singing voice, really amazing,
and a whole bunch of tunes she wrote that really let that voice shine.
What a first set. Equally impressive was ol' John here, who laid some
seriously funny tunes on everyone assembled. Very funny, ironic, and all
around high quality songs performed with verve and style. New Players are
the life blood of this thing of ours, and here we see two fine additions to The
Acoustic Revival Family. Welcome Janet, welcome John. Looking forward
to your next set. |

HEY! We Got The Lineup For The Next INVITATIONAL Christie Donnelly - The Hafer Band - Thomas Brim - Next Exit Be there for this dandy display of music and hijinks on Wednesday October 1st From 8:00 Until 12:30 |
While I would be the first to state firmly that we had a very strong lineup at the
weeks Acoustic Revival, I would also be the first to admit it was a weird night.
This happened last year as well - it seems some small amount of
panic occurs when the weather starts to change and the large crowds that regularly
attend The Acoustic Revival go a little nuts. I think people start realizing
that summer's almost over and they freak out. Which is ok, we got
broad shoulders at The Revival and everyone is welcome (even if they're End Of
Summer Wacky). On the music front it was another dandy evening. Of
course Janet and John were super, but we had some of the old school folks as
well as some of the young guns. Of course anytime Kevin Serey is up, we get
a good set, and Adam Pierce added to that. And the same can be said of
our pal Thomas Brim. And then that can easily be extended to Julian Rai
(beginning to see the pattern?). Now, Next Exit also falls into that category
- very nice work from them. Our new (but soon to be leaving for New
York) buddy Kristine Bennett did her best set ever. See how it works?
We get a SUPERB lineup almost every time the train leaves the station for the
Acoustic Revival. And the train is going to be hitting the track next Thursday,
same time and same destination. BE ON BOARD! |

Hey, this Wednesday, September 24th, at 9:00, come on down to The Trolley Stop and check out Thomas Brim in the long form double
funky ho-down mode that he does so well. It's a full night of T-Brim,
and The Face Of The Future always delivers. That's 9:00 until 12:00 and
it's going to be a giant full-blown HOOT. Miss it and you hear about it later,
and weep! |

HOW'S ABOUT A TOUCH OF... BELLY LOVE? |
I probably haven't had as much BELLY up here this year as I should have. I'll try to make up for that over the next
few weeks. Soon, it will be winter, and the BELLIES will all disappear into hibernation for the season (plus there's alot less shaving
in that area, and some of the ladies get FUZZY BELLY). |
