Fine... Mr. or Miss. Big Shot. That's PAGE TWO. But where do you think
you'll end up if you always go two-thirds of the way? For, and heed me
well, there is a THIRD PAGE. And this is where all of your work and training will come into play.
You can make it. I believe in you. Go. GO! GO TO PAGE THREE!!! |
It's All About The Players... |

Acoustic Divas... That's Marishah Paddock, KC Kelly, Christie Hagen, and Britt "The Hammer" Brand, all of whom make regular stops out to The Acoustic Revival. We got a spot for you down at The Trolley, all you need to do is make it out and sign up. Any style of music is welcome, and if you're singer with some songs we'd love to hear you play them. It's every Thursday night at 8:00, just be sure and get out to the show early. |

Boy, has anybody else noticed that our buddy Greg Biltz has been ON FIRE lately? Man is he in the pocket. Really, he's never played better, and
even old songs we've loved to hear him perform have gotten more intense and expansive.
All things considered, honestly? He still rules... |
Kevin "The" HARDWICK. Scott "The" Marshall. Certainly no one could have anticipated the level of advanced chicanery these gentleman
have purveyed upon an unsuspecting populace. I think we all remember
a tender young Scott, hands shaking and breath stinky with fear, barely able to play when he first made
an appearence at The Acoustic Revival. And we all remember how he became more relaxed onstage and came into his own (to
the point that he would burp and scratch himself during songs). And then
the addition of Kevin, who, though he seemed to be catatonic at times, took the HyBriD ACouStiC MiND ScreW RoCk out of the imagination and spread it thickly all over everyone's ears. These
boys have grown up before our eyes. And we don't just see them as former
child stars. We see them as dangerously unstable adults, who make some
remarkable music. We dig them. |
Jim Hiller brought along a surprise last week. Susanne sat in on some tunes, singing and playing some kind of woodwind instrument (it was
not, as I claimed, a flutaphone). Whatever it was they sounded great together.
Here's hoping she can make it out next week and we'll get another
listen to this fine duet. |
While she's probably getting a little tired of hearing it, Marishah remains a great inspiration to a lot of folks who come out to The Acoustic Revival. She's just become so much more complete as a Player over such a short time. She is as close to a "Natural" as anyone I have ever
seen. Her new songs are just outstanding too. KC and I are unabashed fans of this wonderful, talented woman. She is sublime. |
Chris Plaskett is getting out to the show a bit more often, but since his commute begins in Cleveland
it easy to understand why he hasn't been out more. This guy's sort
of in the mold of Dave Shields and Greg Biltz, bringing his take to songs and story telling in a very compelling way. Get
out when you can Chris! We like your tunes. |
Chris Weber has been out to the Big Show twice now, and he brings a lot of energy up on stage
with him. Looking forward to his next set. |
Well what can you say about old Kevin Serey? He's one of the old pro guys who's been out a bunch of times and he always delivers.
Pretty much does everything good, this guy, plays and sings and just
lights up a stage in general. That's him and his Dad there upper left.
If you ever get a chance to see him anywhere do it. We're just glad one
of the places you can see him is at The Trolley Stop, when he plays at The Acoustic Revival. |

Pat Campbell and Alan Baker have made it out to a few shows and they've shown a real talent for writing.
Nice stuff so far from these guys, especially the original material. Two
dudes to watch... |
