YOU THINK I'M KIDDING?
(We'll dig around in there like a wild booger miner)
See All The Players?
July has been a hell of a month for Players.  Many of our regulars have brought new material to the scene, and SO many new faces are appearing.  It's a good night when were all together and we welcome some new blood to the stage, and hearing some fine new composition from one of our favorites.  This month Kevin Serey and Adam "Guitarslinger" Pierce have really torn it up, love those guys.  New to the stage and a GREAT addition were Gary and Doug who met that day in a parking lot!  Sounded like they met that day at Muscle Shoals.  BIG sad news as we learn if the departure of Scott "The" Marshall.  More on that as we get it, but it will not be same with him and Kevin laying down the EVIL Hybrid Acoustic Mind Screw ROcK.
And we got our Robusto back, as Robusto Rejecto stormed the stage with renewed vigor after conquering the Pacific Rim during his latest tour.  To no one's surprise, BERZERKLE show'd up and went too far and trouble started and he ended up poking some kids eye out by throwing a spit ball.  BAD BERZERKLE.
Other new faces, very very welcome new faces include Darren Jones and Jon Kneier.  Fine Players these guys, and great harmonies.  Don't know how we get em', but we're glad we got these two.  And we witnessed the second coming of Master Brian.  Say what you will, he does his thing and he don't give a damn if you get it or not.  He's one of the most talked about Players at The Acoustic Revival.  Love him or hate him, he's got a pair and you gotta' give him props.  Nick Shenkel continues to hone his skills, and each week we see a little more of what makes him special.  Now, EVERYBODY knows Greg Biltz and Jim Hiller.  They are the standard, and time has only proved it a tough standard to meet.  Oooh!  Man you should have heard Greg laying down the fingerpicking!  DAMN!  Jim just flat scares the hell out of everybody.  With his fingers doing what they do he could have easily been an extra in Men In Black 2.  We really can't ever forget the boost having Players of this caliber appearing at our earlier shows made.
Heads up, new guy alert.  He's funny, he's ironic, and most important - he's interesting.  Everybody is really looking forward to watching Jonathan Price get his show together.  A Player to keep an eye on.
Michael Wolfe just brings the house down.  So far he's been up like, three times, and it just keeps getting smoother.  You have got to hear this guy sing.  A real live show stopper, and that's not blowing smoke.  He is BAD.  All kinds of soul, and then some soul sauce on top of it.  SO much style.  Get out and see him soon, you will not be sorry.
It was a night of high drama as Luke Artin appeared onstage for his birthday,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!

And, in a stunning turn of events, he allowed
Seth to join him on vocals!  The house fell silent as Seth took the stage and then the mic.  He sang.  My God in heaven he sang.  Loud, and long.  Like an angel.  A very drunk, extremely deranged angel.  His stage moves were like watching a cross between Sammy Davis Junior and Mike Ditka.  If you saw it, you were changed forever.
This is Emily Strand and MAN is she great.  And really photogenic.  Trouble is, I got pretty involved in listening to her.  Really involved.  Involved to the point that I forgot to take any pictures of her.  So let me be really clear about this; Emily Strand is a REMARKABLE Player, and it is a rare thing when someone as good as her makes an appearence.  The fact that I was so impressed that I just didn't remember to take her picture is a testement to her talent, and my advanced state of mental and physical decay.  Emily, you're great, and I'm practically a mummy.  Please come out again soon, and if I seem like I'm beginning to dotter, nudge me.
Marishah.  Ah, she is our wonderful friend and a great singer and we LOVE her.  I'd listen to her sing the phone book.
