Players Leading Santa With A Groove And Bright Red Noses |
Hello... And GOODBYE! We had another new face at the show, our pal Sasha got up and did some tunes with Mike and Matt. It was very nice, but apparently Sasha is now relocating to Chicago. Just as we meet her, she is GONE! Waaaaaah! But she'll visit I'm sure. So thanks to Sasha and Mike and Matt for doing a fine job the first and farewell show, and Mike and Matt turned in a dynamite set of their own, by the way. Also a part of this explosion of talent were Andrew and Daniel. This spicy duo provided some fashion sense and backup vocals, and they were super! A lot of passion from these two newcomers. Thanks guys! |

Winter Bringing Out The Music! Obviously the cold isn't effecting the talent pool at The Acoustic Revival. Several exceptional Players have been out lately and none more poweful than Joe Anderl. He's just completed a CD and we got to hear some cuts off of it live when he made the Big Show. Very fine songwriter, and he's worth checking out. I'm going to try to get a feature page up for him soon. If you see him defintately try to snag that disc. Thanks for contributing Joe. Also got some very fine music from Armony, who've added a percussionist. I'd love to tell you who he is, but Barry and Andres decided not to write his name on the sign-up sheet. So, maybe a little butt kicking in order there. Having said that, these guys are excellent! Great original tunes with superior harmony work throughout. Nice, nice, nice. Also (and I really want to emphisis this) we got a great batch of tunes from our old pal Brent Zerkle. This is a guy who's been coming out for a long time and he's really put in some time and effort improving his music. He was on fire! Did a dandy set. All we ask is that you work to get better at your music, and here's an example of that happening big time. Way to go Berzerkle! Some fired up sounds from the re-formed Nano Mountain Boys, who have made an official name change and are now called Steelwood Junction. They've never sounded better! The lineup has more depth than before, and the addition of a little tasty guitar by Chris is just right. Nice work, Steelwood Juntion! Other news includes a set from our new pal Joe Burgess in which nothing broke or went wrong! He's really good, but it took three shows to avoid a broken string or dead battery, or not being exposed to chemical intoxicants (that was an accident of course). |

New Rule! If your name isn't on the list, first and last, you don't get on the stage. Several reasons for this, but suffice to say you need to sign up. |

As the year comes to a close and we take a look at some pictures of our regulars
it's nice to think back more than three years ago when there was NO ONE at The
Revival. A couple of Players and a few folks hanging out at The Trolley Stop.
Now, seeing the huge crowds and all these talented people who come out
every week, it's hard to imagine there was ever a time when it was any other
way. We've had a lot of support (and a lot haters/detractors) and through
it all the good guys have prevailed. Each of the Players and fans of this
event have added their own touch to the mix, and those contributions are obvious
when you look back at these web pages and take in the long history of The
Acoustic Revival. To everyone who ever supported us, Players or fans, Thanks.
See you next time. Right on, right on. |
