Get Well Soon, YOU BIG ROBUSTO! We love our Rob! And at the time of this writing he is recovering from a KIDNEY TRANSPLANT! We sincerely hope he's going to be back soon, because we love him and he makes us laugh and he is our pal. Feel better buddy. |
Well it was a GREAT August for music at The Revival. We got a fantastic set from one of our founding Players, Marishah Paddock. She can light up the room like NO ONE ELSE! And her new stuff is fantastic.

Jonathan Price did a truly great new tune this week, really great. Choked the old Reverend
up. And the set turned in by Greg Biltz and Jim Hiller was ELECTRIC! Had the whole house doing flips and hand stands. The pros
really know how. |

Anyone who caught Master Brian's last show noticed that a certain Evil Performance Artist/Singer Songwriter has been
working on his tunes. Really the best show ever from The Master. A couple of fine new additions to our family are Maxwell Mage and Marshall, both of whom are true old school Players with a real command of the stage. Each got the crowd going and both of them
know their way around a box. Welcome to you! Welcome to The Acoustic Revival! By now Jon Kneier and Darren Jones have been out enough that they can't really be called "new guys" anymore.
Two guys who can play, sing, and get a song done right, no questions asked.
If only they weren't 8 feet tall. After a long absence (and a LOT of work
on their sound) Hackman Caine Theory made a truly remarkable return. WOAH! Talk about putting a shine on it! Me and KC were grinning from ear to ear listening to these guys show off what they've been
working on. A really fine job guys, really fine. Now get back out SOON.
Now we come to Mr. Trouble. Suffice to say that his legendary
Rock and Roll lifestyle made us nervous when he took the stage, but Mat Parker managed to control himself and played some songs and no one was injured (badly). |

These nice ladies stayed to listen to almost the whole show and said some very nice
stuff about The Queen and I and just in general were hanging out and being cool.
We hope they come back out soon and we can add them to the list of regulars.

I just wanted to wrap this deal up with a thank you for all the folks who said Happy
Birthday and slapped me on the back and in general noticed that I was around.
I am somewhat uncomfortable with these sorts of things (see picture) but
I really did appreciate the song Greg did, and the nice singing from KC.
As I sit here now typing this I am once again pink and wiggly at the thought
of being sung the birthday song. Anyway, I don't have a bunch of family
or anything, and as I get older (and older and older) I get a little more clear
on how much a person expressing affection for you matters. So, shucks, thanks
and all that. I have to go run around the house now. |
Yep. That's me and KC. I'm the one who looks like he's going to burst
into flames. KC is the one enjoying me being uncomfortable. I love
her, and she is my friend, and so torturing me is ok for her. BUT NOT FOR
YOU!!! |
