What the hell is THIS? This is a re-occurring page on a web site, and it's dedicated to the documentation of all the completely INSANE stuff that goes on at an event in Dayton, Ohio. The event takes place at a club located in the fabled Oregon District, and the club is called The Trolley Stop. The event is called The Acoustic Revival. The Acoustic Revival is a open mic format musical show, featuring singers and songwriters. However, due to the high quality of lunatic that appears at these performances, there is also a show off stage. This event is outrageously successful. The people are suitable for court required mental evaluation. We like them. Here you will see them in their natural habitat, leaping and playing, feeding and mating. It's life, and they're living it. If you go to the show, you will most likely end up on here somewhere. Try not to get into trouble. Well, not too much trouble...

The BEER DEVIL
I swear on the lives of my beloved children that when I took this picture the image on the left was not there. Just two guys looking goofy, drinking some beer. Then, when I developed this shot, HE appeared. Grinning, sneering, laughing at me. It was, The BEER DEVIL. Rumors of his haunting at The Trolley Stop have been around for years, and now there is undeniable proof that he exists. Quick! Somebody get that jackass Art Bell on the phone...

Well, the new start time appears to be a big success. You still need to get out to The Acoustic Revival EARLY. If you don't you will NOT be playing early. But starting at 8:00 has helped out with getting more Players up. We have had TONS of new Players every week lately and this week was no exception. For starters we had the first set by our new buddy Rusty Wise. Got up and did a dandy set. Sings real good. Also stepping was a couple of fine youngsters, Brian Downey and Jeff McCutchen who comprise a duo known as Cain Hackman Theory. Real solid showing from these guys. Also up (I think they may have been out once before, but as I am very very old I cannot recall) was Patrick Campbell and Alan Baker. Had a little trouble with my damn guitar but once we got the bugs worked out they had some nice tunes. It was another night were all of the fresh faces provided a jolt of new blood and fine music for us. Yeah, yeah, yeah... Of course the heart of the night is always the folks who make it out with regularity. Kevin Serey is back, thanks to our new start time. He's worth seeing just by himself, really great. Three folks who amount to "Star Power" were on hand, Greg Biltz, Christie Hagen, and Jim Hiller. Killer stuff from these folks. Christie is just blowing up the mix with her phat phiddle. We hadn't seen Britt Brand for a bit (bummer), but she was back and hot, really did a nice set. Some regulars were victims of the clock (a little). Marishah has some new songs that are AMAZING. Josh is always a dynamic and exciting Player (glad he's back). Scott and Kevin did their best HyBrid AcoUsTic MiNd SCrEw ROcK yet. Lackluster is getting better every week, and they really are up to some cool sounds with their harmonies. Oh, and Darren Maddox is eating Wheaties or something, he's been on fire. Gary Calimungi took everyone to the roots again, sliding that dobro. What a sound. Cramer continues to swear he will sing, and we're going to start forcing him to if he doesn't. His guitar playing is, no doubt, very cool. But heat them pipes up, Brother!
