And a cry went out in the wilderness... Upon the placid face of Earth there was heard a wail of dispair, and from the mouths of Babes it did pour. And the Lord, for he is an abiding God, appeared unto the Babes in the night and said, "Babes, from whence does your anguish flow?" And the Babes as one replied, "We are poor in spirit and destitute of heart, as none shall appear to lift us up and enjoin us in revelry, nor unto our eyes be fine to behold". And the Lord heard the babes, and a break he took from smiting and such, and instead waved his hand over the whole of the world, whereupon a mighty storm was conjured. And verily, from the storm, a Man appeared to the Babes, clad only in a cloth of loin. And the Babes wept and nashed their teeth with joy at the full sight of him, and the Lord spoke unto the Babes with a voice of tremor and thunder, and he said, "Ladies... meet Seth..."
