He's got the piano, he's got the guitar, he's got the harp, he's got the voice, and the thing that matters most - he's got the passion. Mr. Jessie feels it, brothers and sisters. Makes KC and The Reverend get all inspired watching this man roughing up a tune. You can hear where his influences run, but he's never doing an impression. He's got his own thing going on, and he means it. I was a happy host when I heard him light up "Johnny 99" the other night, and KC and I both want to figure out a way to do some tunes with this fine addition to the scene at The Trolley Stop.
