Boy, Marishah is great.  She's on her way to something, you can just tell.  She does her own material (powerful stuff, very personal and risky), as well as covers by select artists, among them Ani DiFranco.  One could include her in the next wave of folk performers but that would probably be too narrow a focus.  There's a real depth here that is self-defining, so we all just going to have to wait and see where this player takes us next.
