| Hi. Reverend Dave here. I wanted to write something here that would capture exactly the right tone, the right "vibe", when I wrote about Greg Biltz. And it's proving to be a challange. Occasionally you see a player who completely reminds you that music matters, that it's important, that it can speak to us in ways that no other form of expression can. It's hard to get into how I feel when I listen to Mr. Biltz play, but I will say that I'm going to have to just get over the fact that sometimes he's getting me choked up. Yep, right there in The Trolley Stop, The Reverend is getting all teary. This is the guy I hope I can eventually play and write like. If nothing else good ever comes from this thing I will go into the ground knowing that me and KC and some friends sat around the stage and got to see the real deal. We're going to get Mr. Biltz up for our first "Featured Performer" slot, during which he will get outside the usual format and have a chance to do a long-form show, and we'll let you know when that's going to happen. It's up to you to figure out that you just don't want to miss it. |
